Andrew worked at senior levels in the banking industry for 35 years and recently left to found AS Consultants for Business Limited that offers guidance and support to SMEs and the financial services sector. Andrew was involved in the SME market for the majority of his corporate career as a traditional business bank manager and local commercial director. He has wide contemporary business skills gained from both academic study and working at senior management levels in financial services. Consequently  Andrew believes that he is uniquely placed to help and guide SMEs fulfil the ambitions of their growing businesses. 

Andrew has experience at senior levels with conduct risk and remediation. He specialises in sales processes, delivering fair customer outcomes, ethical considerations and building organisational purpose, visions and values.

Andrew is committed to his continuing professional development and last year achieved Chartered Banker status with a distinction in the compulsory assignment on risk, ethics and regulation. In 2014 Andrew also gained the Diploma in Financial Services Leadership with master’s level study of strategy, leadership, risk, change, value creation and people. Amongst other qualifications Andrew holds the Diploma in Credit from the Institute of Financial Services.

We've got a passion for small business and our founder has a working lifetime of expertise in supporting the sector. Andrew knows from being a bank manager for many years that relationships should always come first and the success of our clients means everything to us. We also know that every business is different and our solutions have to be tailored accordingly.

Our founder has extensive experience in commercial banking as a relationship manager, lender, leader, mentor and counsellor. Andrew tells us the best part of working with small businesses is 'seeing them succeed'.

We hold professional indemnity insurance and are VAT registered. Our services are always confidential. 

We provide support to the financial services industry with consultancy on remediation, conduct risk, ethics and commercial lending.
